Dramatic Blooms
Colorful flowers, sparkling attachments, and bold ribbons are the trend in today’s bridal floral designs. Individuality has taken over in this planning department as well, with the bride’s personality firmly infused in today’s modern floral designs.
No longer is uniformity the key with wedding day blooms. The bride’s bouquet can be drastically different from those of her attendants. Identical matching floral designs for each bridesmaid or flower girl is no longer required either. Individuality can carry through to the reception décor as well. Not all the table designs require repetition. Brides are considering design beyond the flowers themselves, with unique vases and candles being of more importance in today’s centerpieces.
Brides are not limited to the pale white and ivory blooms of traditional bouquet flowers—lavenders, plums, pink, and reds in all hues and varietals are finding their way into bouquets. Monochromatic bouquets, both of color and bloom, are often seen. Bouquets tied with colorful ribbons and accented by sparkling crystals and pearls are literally works of art within themselves.
