Decor tips
- Vary the height of your table centerpieces—have them low enough or high enough so they don't block vision or conversation.
- Order order a few extra plates, glasses, cups, saucers, and silverware for any last-minute additional guests or any butterfingers during the reception service.
- Dress up chairs at the reception table with elegant tulle bows or beautiful floral swags.
- Create a more elegant atmosphere with a small upgrade on rental items like chairs. Sometimes nicer chairs can cost less than chair covers.
- Use dramatic lighting effects to enhance your decor throughout your reception room.
- Upgrade your linens. Create an entirely new look to your room with the color and texture linens provide. Let your table linens sweep the floor—who wants to see table legs??
- If you are renting a tent, ensure the rental company does a site visit to determine correct measurements and the best way for the tent to be anchored. Even the strongest tents can be damaged by strong winds and heavy rains. Discuss the quality of their tents and how they will withstand inclement weather.
