  • masciopintomurnen 4Alan and Michelle met in High school, where they had mutual friends but had never really gotten to know each other. During college, they reconnected and saw the spark. Their personalities were more alike than most ever thought, and they spent time talking over the phone, working out, traditionally courting each other and just spending home-body time together.

By the time Alan proposed on a vacation to Hilton Head, Michelle had been expecting a ring early in the week. On their last day, during a poolside sunning session, Alan ran back to their hotel room ‘for a quick errand’ and an hour later… they took the walk that would change their lives. Keeping with their traditional dating, Alan was on one knee when he asked Michelle to marry him.

  • masciopintomurnen 3According to Michelle, the wedding day was perfect from beginning to end. Photos on the golf course, including their beloved dog (a big part of the family), friends and family gathered near, a first dance to ‘Some Kind of Wonderful’ by the Drifters, and a reception that went into the wee hours of morning.

The couple spent the entire evening on the dance floor with their guests, and was surprised to have had as amazing and wonderful a time as they did. Following their wedding reception they relaxed a day before jetting off to Hawaii. They both love the sun, sand and just relaxing with each other.

And while the couple was incredibly touched by the personal gift they received from the bride’s sister (a luxury travel bag not even on their registry) nothing could top the gift of expecting their first child. They always wanted to start a family, and they were thrilled to have been blessed as quickly as they were.

  • masciopintomurnen 2Michelle would tell future brides not to sweat the small stuff. “ Don’t get wrapped up in too much of the details” and don’t stress. “Alan and I are busy and we knew as long as the big things were taken care of the rest would fall into place.”

Don’t listen to other people’s opinions. Do what you like.

Michelle & Alan say that they woud not do anything different. She says ‘I look back with the best memories. I didn’t fuss too much and everything turned out gorgeous. The last 2 weeks were the most stressful, but I would not be stressing before then.’

Enjoy the process. It only happens once. And remember to take some time alone to eat – we totally missed enjoying our appetizers because we were taking pictures. Make sure you build in time for everything.
